The Department of Software at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology held an educational seminar entitled (Spreading Community Awareness of the Danger of Drugs) in the presence of a group of university students.

The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Sinan Adnan Al-Shammari, said that this seminar comes in conjunction with the start of the new academic year and within the implementation of the media plan for spreading community awareness of the danger of drugs among university students, and creating a community culture that rejects drugs, according to counseling, prevention and treatment campaigns.

The seminar, which was presented by Dr. Talal Jabal Hussein, a teacher at the College of Medicine, and Ghaith Ali Hussein Al-Awadi, a teacher at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, aimed to spread awareness among students of the seriousness of this scourge and psychological and physical damage and limit its spread by increasing the awareness of young people and students and immunizing them against this scourge.

She stressed the need to exert all necessary efforts to contain the drug problem by including targeted work programs and activities, through which it seeks to provide the greatest possible chances of success in overcoming and controlling this problem, and to establish fruitful and effective cooperation that emanates from determination and determination to confront all aspects of the problem at various levels.
