The Department of Science at wasit University's Faculty of Basic Education held a panel discussion entitled "Improving the properties of polyurethane fume by adding urea powder", which included the discussion presented by Professor Dr. Ghazi Kamal Saeed, preparing samples of pure polyurethane (polyol + isosianate) in addition to other samples by adding Iraqi-made urea powder at different weight ratios (urea includes PVA alcohol 2%) When adding urea powder the elasticity and cohesion of polyurethane improved, as its thermal connection decreased and its density increased, as well as resistance to flame and fire. The panel reached recommendations including the adoption of research results in the production of fire-resistant polyurethane within the production lines of factories.
