At the Faculty of Education for the Humanities University of Wasit, I discussed a master's thesis entitled "Analysis of a critical speech on the disaster of Iran's nuclear program in selected newspapers."
The letter prepared by the student (Samana Nasser Abdul Latif) aims to verify the linguistic features contained in the electronic press reports of the United States and Iran selected for the study on the Iranian nuclear crisis and different points of view and similarities and structural linguistic differences in electronic newspaper reports, in addition to the ideologies adopted by these reports in providing news about the Iranian nuclear crisis.
Sixteen press reports were analysed, eight from selected US newspapers and 8 from selected Iranian newspapers, she said.
The letter showed the great similarities and differences in the linguistic features used by U.S. and Iranian press reports portraying the Iranian government and the nuclear crisis negatively and positively.
