Wasit University delegation inspects the Elderly Care Home and the Wasit Baraem Orphanage
The Community Service Unit at the Presidency of the University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine, organized an inspection visit to Dar Al-Wafa for the Care of the Elderly and Dar Baraem Wasit for Orphan Care.
Dr. Aida Hamid Hassan, Director of the Community Service Unit at the Presidency of the University, said that the visit, in which the teacher Hakim Bahlouk Al-Murshidi and a number of male and female students volunteered at the Faculty of Medicine participated, comes within a series of visits and activities for the project of caring for Baraem Wasit for orphans care and Dar Al-Wafa for the care of the elderly, which was adopted by the Community Service Unit and under the supervision of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mazen Al-Hasani, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Nasirkasem al-Maliki.
She added that this visit is not the first, as it was preceded by multiple visits, after which the university formed a voluntary medical team that included a number of professors of the Faculty of Medicine and doctors from the Wasit Health Department in cooperation with the administrative cadres in the role with the aim of providing medical care to residents in their private clinics and free of charge.
