


International Scientific Workshop Between the College of Administration and Economics and Madurai University in India on Sustainable Development in Developing Countries
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Uqabi, President of the University of Wasit, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Salman Al-Waeli, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, the Department of Economics organized an international scientific workshop in collaboration with Madurai University in India. The event was coordinated by Dr. Anwar Mohsen Saqib and Dr. Mustafa Mahdi Abdulreda, with participation from Associate Professor Dr. Taiml of Madurai University.
This workshop, held on May 21, was part of the university’s postgraduate development program and was titled “Sustainable Development in Developing Countries: Opportunities and Challenges.” It aimed to promote academic exchange and expand the horizons of scientific research by exploring key opportunities for sustainable development in developing nations, while also addressing the challenges that hinder the implementation of these strategies.
The workshop represents a significant step toward strengthening international academic partnerships and encouraging researchers and postgraduate students to engage with global development issues.
