The Department of Statistics organized an extracurricular activity for fourth-year students, which involved the preparation of informational brochures titled “The Role of Statistics in Sustainable Development.”

Several faculty members from the department participated in the activity to support and encourage students, contributing to guiding them toward applying statistical skills to issues of development and analyzing both social and economic realities.

The activity aimed to enhance students’ abilities in creativity and design, promote self-directed learning, and foster teamwork, while also raising awareness of the vital role that statistics plays across various aspects of life.

The brochures covered a diverse range of topics including economy, society, healthcare, education, agriculture, and poverty, highlighting the broad applicability of statistical analysis in addressing development challenges.
