As part of its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 focused on quality education and the promotion of students\u2019 psychological and social well-being, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at Wasit University, in collaboration with the Counseling Unit at the College of Arts, organized a scientific visit to Al-Orchid Secondary School for Girls. The visit aimed to strengthen educational ties and foster community partnership between higher education institutions and secondary schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visit featured a comprehensive awareness program presented by Dr. Nada Nidal Najm, Director of the Psychological Counseling Department at the university, titled \u201cI Can\u201d. The session aimed to empower students by helping them understand their identities, set future goals, and make sound decisions to improve their academic performance and personal growth\u2014encouraging their active contribution to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Marwa Abdullah Shafit, head of the Counseling Unit at the College of Arts, along with her team and liaison members, delivered a lecture addressing psychological and social challenges faced by students. The session included interactive and self-development activities such as \u201cExpress Yourself,\u201d \u201cA Message to You,\u201d \u201cBehaviors to Embrace and Leave Behind,\u201d and a lighthearted yet meaningful segment titled \u201cAdvice with a Sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, Dr. Juhaina Hamed offered a creative educational presentation that used art as a training and learning tool, demonstrating modern counseling approaches through artistic expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
