Faculty of Agriculture launches fruit tree planting project
The Faculty of Agriculture at Wasit University has begun launching the fruit tree initiative by preparing its fields and agricultural land to start work on the cultivation of diuretics as well as seedlings for certain varieties such as pomegranates, oranges, olives and palm liquids. Sultan Abdul Rikabi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, said that our college has all the scientific and technical resources represented by its cadres of professors, agricultural engineers, working staff, fertile land and well-equipped laboratories. This project and its success and practical benefit from it, praised Professor Dr. Mazen Al Hassani, President of Wasit University, while inspecting the agricultural fields producing a number of agricultural crops, including cucumbers, peppers, peas and other items, with the efforts made by workers in this field as part of the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to plant one million trees, which was launched last year with the participation of all agricultural colleges in Iraq.
