Wasit University ranked second in the development of scientific research at the level of Iraqi universities in terms of research published in international containers such as Skubas and 000, an annual increase of 77% over the previous year, with nearly 371 research published in 2020 from 210 in 2019

Professor Dr. Mazen Al-Hasani, President of Wasit University, explained that our university got second place after Al-Karkh University, which received the first place with an increase of 81% by only 4% and Mosul University ranked third with 64% superior to Baghdad University, Basra, Mustansiriyah and other Arab universities.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sabih Lapa Zubeidi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, stressed that we are in constant contact with professors and researchers at our university and we have opened scientific doors to them through joint cooperation with relevant institutions such as the directorates of agriculture, electricity and hospitals for the purpose of conducting research as well as providing laboratories with the latest international bodies that help in research.

We attributed to all colleges to provide researchers with information as well as to open many electronic outlets for education and provide books from the library and there are many services provided by Wasit University and its effective contribution in making all its material and scientific capabilities available to all

Al-Hasani thanked his Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the first sponsor of scientific research in Iraq, Mubarak to Al-Karkh University, Wasit University and Mosul University for receiving the top three ranks on Iraqi universities according to the percentage of development, congratulations to all professors and researchers for this great achievement and more giving in service to our university and our beloved province.
