The Faculty of Management and Economy holds a seminar on the effects of devaluation on the basic indicators of the Iraqi economy
The Faculty of Management and Economics/ Wasit University and within the scientific activity of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences held a scientific seminar entitled (Effects of reducing the value of the currency on the basic indicators of the Iraqi economy) in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty Professor Dr. Abbas Noir Al-Musawi and a number of teaching and graduate students in the college. Presented by A.M.D. Salam Menem Zamil, the third axis discussed the side effects of the devaluation of the Iraqi currency presented by A.M.D. Ghaleb Shaker Behit, the fourth axis in which A.M.D. Hatem Karim Belhawi discussed the effects of the depreciation of the Iraqi currency on selected economic indicators and the seminar came out with a number of conclusions. There are negative effects on most economic indicators in Iraq for short-term devaluation due to the lack of adequate damage to such economic policies at the moment, and there are some indicators that are negatively affected by the devaluation process, including (imports, consumer prices, overheads, inflation, real income of individuals) and other secondary economic indicators, low rates of economic growth in Iraq, the creation of appropriate support policies for low-income groups and fragile and marginalized groups of To counter the rise in the prices of goods and services at the moment to control poverty rates from rising.
