Administrative structure


Based on the authority guide for university department managers, which stipulates that the department director should exercise the following powers to facilitate the work as required:

Duties:

  • Distributing tasks and powers among the employees working in the department.
  • Recommending the approval of regular and sick leave in addition to study leave.
  • Supervising the performance of work in the department and following up the activities of employees.
  • Recommending the imposition of a penalty on negligent employees.
  • Suggesting directing letters of thanks and appreciation to distinguished and creative employees.
  • Recommend granting bonuses for promotion and promotion from one degree to another for the workers in the department.
  • Recommending the appointment, placement and dismissal of the services of any employees in the department in accordance with the laws and instructions in force.
  • Proposal to assign employees in the department to work overtime outside the official working hours and within the laws and instructions regulating that.
  • Distributing tasks and responsibilities among the department’s employees, in a way that helps to develop and improve work performance within the specified department staff.
  • Evaluating the performance of the employees in the department and submitting it to the relevant authorities.
  • Any other powers delegated to him by his direct supervisor. Assistant department manager:
  • Supervising the performance of work in the department and following up the activities of employees .
  • Expressing administrative advice and proposals to help the progress of administrative work, its development, and its completion quickly, accurately, and without delay.
  • Suggesting directing letters of thanks and appreciation to employees for their excellent work.
  • Suggesting the distribution of tasks and responsibilities among the employees of the department in order to help develop and improve work within the scope of the department.

Carrying out department management tasks in cases where the department manager enjoys regular, sick leave and dispatch.

  • Any other powers vested in him by his direct supervisor.

The powers of the division official:

  • Monitoring the extent to which the Division’s employees adhere to the tasks and duties stipulated under the Amended State Employees Discipline Law No. 14 of 1991.

Follow up on the presence of the Division’s employees and their commitment to official working hours.

Assigning the Division’s staff to the Division’s work, in addition to any additional work required by the public interest.

  • Follow-up staff performance of the duties entrusted to them.
  • Recommending the approval of granting all kinds of leaves to the Division’s employees.
  • Expressing an opinion in evaluating the performance of the Division’s employees.
  • Work on developing proposals that lead to the development of work in consultation with the Division’s staff and provide recommendations regarding them in a way that serves the public interest.
  • Submitting notes submitted to him by the Division’s staff to the department manager or his assistant, as the case may be.
  • Any other tasks assigned to him by the department manager or his assistant.
