The President of Wasit University, Professor Dr. Abbas Lutfah Al-Obaidi, received the Member of the Iraqi Parliament for Wasit Governorate, MP Bassim Ngeimesh.

The two sides discussed enhancing the role of the university in the development of the local community, as well as exploring ways to improve the university’s infrastructure and support academic and scientific projects that contribute to raising the level of higher education in the governorate, all aimed at serving the educational and research process.

Dr. Al-Obaidi emphasized the importance of cooperation between academic and legislative institutions to ensure the provision of an appropriate educational environment for students, praising the role of the Iraqi Parliament in supporting the education sector.

For his part, MP Bassim Ngeimesh expressed his readiness to provide all necessary support to the university, both in terms of legislation and allocating the required resources to strengthen its academic journey.
