
University President Emphasizes Enhancing Campus Security and Facilitating Access for Staff and Visitors
During his meeting with the Follow-up Department, University President Prof. Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Uqabi emphasized the importance of strengthening the security aspect within the university campus to ensure a safe and stable environment for students, staff, and visitors. The meeting was held this morning in his office, in the presence of Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Rasoul Al-Safi, Director of the Follow-up Department, along with several department staff members.
Dr. Al-Uqabi stressed the need to facilitate access procedures for university employees and visitors by organizing entry and exit movements and simplifying ID verification processes—without compromising security regulations.
He also pointed out the importance of adopting modern surveillance and monitoring systems, as well as enhancing coordination between the Follow-up Department and other related departments, in order to improve readiness and response to any emergencies.
At the end of the meeting, the University President commended the efforts made by the Follow-up Department, calling for continued performance development based on scientific and professional visions that support university stability and serve its academic and administrative goals.
