As part of its commitment to fostering regional academic cooperation and advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in promoting quality education and international academic partnerships, Wasit University took a significant step forward.

Professor of Criminal Law and Dean of the College of Law at Wasit University, Prof. Dr. Basim Jameel Al-Magsousi, participated as a supervisor and committee member in a Ph.D. dissertation defense held at the Faculty of Law, Islamic Azad University (Khorasgan Branch), in Isfahan, Islamic Republic of Iran. The dissertation, titled “Modern Interrogation Methods and the Legitimacy of Evidence Derived Therefrom – A Comparative Study in Iranian and Iraqi Criminal Law”, was submitted by Ph.D. candidate Assistant Lecturer Haider Abdullah Jabr Al-Jaafari.
