The College of Education for Human Sciences discusses the geopolitical dimensions of the Turkish strategy in Libya
The College of Education for Human Sciences at Wasit University discussed a master's thesis on the geopolitical dimensions of the Turkish strategy in Libya after 2011.
The thesis presented by the student Hamad Jabr Hamza Al-Ghunaimawi aimed to reveal the reality of the Turkish intervention in Libya and to explain the most important reasons for the increasing Turkish interest in that country, as well as to reactivate the Turkish role in the areas that were under Ottoman control
It concluded that the Turkish strategy towards Libya after 2011 is present and influential in its geopolitical dimensions, and Turkey's investment in directing its strategy towards Africa, imposing its control over the Mediterranean waters and employing them well for the purpose of achieving its strategic goals, securing its economic interests, obtaining energy resources continuously, crowding out countries by exploring for natural gas in the Eastern Mediterranean region, and establishing a permanent presence in economic zones that achieve a prominent position among international and regional actors.
