In recognition of Iraqi academic excellence and in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, Dr. Raed Abdul-Kadhim Abdul-Hussein Al-Waeli, a faculty member in the Department of Media at the College of Arts – Wasit University, has been selected as a member of the International Scientific Committee for the 3rd International Conference on Advancing a Sustainable Future (ICASF 2025).

The conference is scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi in December 2025, organized by Abu Dhabi University in collaboration with IREG – the Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence. It aims to foster global academic cooperation and dialogue in support of sustainable development.

Dr. Al-Waeli’s selection came following a formal invitation from the administration of Abu Dhabi University, as part of its strategy to attract distinguished experts in the fields of communication and international relations—a move that supports its broader vision of expanding academic partnerships and knowledge exchange on a global scale.

This recognition represents a significant step in Wasit University’s growing presence in international academic forums, and contributes to strengthening its role within global academic networks, ultimately benefiting the university’s scientific and research community.
