




University Council Stresses the Importance of Launching Graduate Programs to Meet Local Labor Market Needs
The University of Wasit Council held its regular meeting, chaired by University President Prof. Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Uqabi, to discuss several key issues.
The council addressed the importance of launching new postgraduate programs to fulfill the province’s need for qualified professionals aligned with labor market demands. The discussions also covered the need to support and enhance scientific research within the university, as well as to establish new buildings to accommodate the growing number of students.
During the meeting, the University President emphasized the significance of activating industrial advisory boards in the colleges, given their vital role in aligning the university’s outputs with the needs of the job market.
