In this regard, the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Hakeem Rekabi, stated:
“This project represents a strategic step toward empowering young people and equipping them with the practical skills needed to enter the agricultural job market. It also reflects Wasit University’s strong commitment to achieving sustainable development through innovation in agriculture.”

He added:
“We believe that supporting youth potential and encouraging innovation in agriculture is a key pillar for achieving food security and advancing the national economy, especially in light of today’s global environmental challenges.”

This project is part of the university’s broader efforts to actively contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to: No Poverty (Goal 1), Quality Education (Goal 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (Goal 8), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (Goal 9), Responsible Consumption and Production (Goal 12), Climate Action (Goal 13), and Life on Land (Goal 15).
