




Wasit University’s College of Sciences Strengthens Partnerships with External Entities to Achieve Its Strategic Goals
As part of its efforts to enhance collaboration with institutions related to its academic and research outcomes, the College of Sciences at Wasit University welcomed a delegation from the Iraqi Cultural Media Center, led by Professor Majid Al-Saeed, and accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Center, the Media Advisor, and the Director of Relations Ms. Ilham Na’mah. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for joint cooperation to support the strategic objectives of the college, in alignment with the vision, mission, and goals of Wasit University.
The meeting was attended by senior academic leaders of the college, highlighting the significance of integration between academic institutions and media and cultural entities in supporting the educational and research process. The discussion also emphasized the university’s societal role through knowledge exchange and collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Faiq Hassan, reaffirmed the college’s commitment to implementing educational and research strategies that align with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He emphasized the importance of enhancing education quality, providing practical training, and preparing graduates for the job market through effective partnerships with various relevant sectors.
At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed appreciation for the constructive dialogue and affirmed its readiness to support the college in achieving its objectives by highlighting its achievements and initiatives through media coverage. As a token of recognition, the college was honored with the Medal of Creativity, acknowledging its role in fostering academic and community collaboration that benefits both the university and society.
