Dr. Ali Saad Kazim, a teacher at the College of Basic Education at Wasit University, was awarded the membership of the American Society of Microbiology (ASM) for the year 2023.

This association is the highest professional organization for scientists specializing in bacteriology and virology, mycology as well as the study of protoorganisms and other aspects of microbiology, and it is considered the largest professional organization for life sciences in the world, and the association has about 47,000 members worldwide.

The Society includes members of scientists specializing in the natural pure research and life of microorganisms, as well as researchers active in the field of applied microbiology.

He added that this membership provides the possibility of participating in the scientific and preparatory committees for conferences organized by the Assembly.

The selection came for publishing many researches in his field of competence in addition to his participation in many courses, conferences and committees inside and outside Iraq.
