




Wasit University Celebrates Its Quranic Team for Winning First Place in the National Competition
The President of Wasit University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Aqabi, welcomed the university’s Quranic team, which won first place in the 8th National Team Quranic Competition for students of Iraqi universities and institutes, held at the University of Babylon.
During the reception, the university president received the championship shield, presented by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein – the Quran House Department. Additionally, the university was awarded a certificate of appreciation, along with another certificate for the university presidency, in recognition of the team’s remarkable achievement.
In turn, Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Aqabi honored the team members with letters of appreciation, praising their efforts in serving the Holy Quran. The recognition included the delegation head, Dr. Ali Kazem Hussein (Head of the Quranic Education Unit), student and Quran memorizer Mohammed Akram Naees, Quran servant Sheikh Ahmed Saad Al-Jadri, and all other team members.
