As part of Wasit University’s commitment to community engagement, the university president attended the 11th annual religious obligation festival for girls, organized by the Anwar Al-Sajjad Cultural Foundation, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. This participation reflects the university’s dedication to supporting initiatives that contribute to strengthening cultural and educational values within society.

During the festival, the university president honored the event organizers, school administrators, and cooperating teachers in recognition of their efforts in promoting the culture of hijab and raising awareness of Islamic values derived from the heritage of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

The president affirmed that, beyond its academic role, the university is committed to its social responsibility by supporting events that reinforce educational and cultural values. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic and community institutions to achieve intellectual and social development.
