The Faculty of Education for the Humanities hosted the first international cultural intellectual conference of Wasit University, which was held under the title "Coexistence and Tolerance, the message of heavenly religions to man", with the participation of researchers from Iraqi, Arab and international universities. The president of Wasit University said in the opening speech of the conference that Wasit University presented the principle of community university in the service of the community in its various scientific, cultural, religious, social and other activities, pointing out that the establishment of this conference is only one of those many events that serve the community and spread the principles of coexistence and tolerance among the sons of the one Iraqi people. For his part, the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Arak, said that the idea of establishing this conference comes to consolidate and promote the bonds of coexistence and tolerance that all heavenly religions have brought to the international community. Human society. stressing the rooting of these values coexistence and tolerance in the era of Imam Ali A, who held this conference inspired by his famous saying, people are two categories either you in religion or your counterpart in creation.
