Wasit University’s Agricultural Division Launches Maintenance and Beautification Campaign in Support of Sustainable Development Goals
As part of Wasit University’s commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 15: Life on Land and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities—the Agricultural Division at the University Presidency organized a comprehensive campaign to clean and maintain the university’s gardens and internal walkways.
Engineer Saleh Hadi Faraj, head of the Agricultural Division, stated that the campaign aims to preserve the aesthetic appeal of the university’s green spaces and enhance the overall campus environment. The initiative includes soil rehabilitation and the planting of a variety of seasonal seedlings throughout the university’s gardens, contributing to increased green cover and reduced pollution.
This initiative reflects the university’s vision of fostering a healthy, sustainable educational environment and promoting a culture of environmental stewardship as part of its social and ecological responsibility.
