As part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aiming to enhance the quality of education and bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, the Department of Biology at the College of Science – University of Wasit organized a scientific field trip to Al-Karama Teaching Hospital, covering all departments of medical laboratories.

The trip was supervised by the following faculty members:

The primary goal of the visit was to provide third-stage students from both morning and evening classes with direct exposure to modern laboratory technologies and medical devices, along with an understanding of how to handle patient samples from collection to final results.

The hospital’s resident medical staff offered comprehensive explanations on laboratory procedures, contributing to the development of students’ practical and scientific skills. This initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to preparing qualified graduates capable of contributing to a sustainable healthcare system that serves the community and keeps pace with scientific advancements.
