The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Wasit, in collaboration with the Department of Media at the College of Arts, organized a three-day course titled “The Role of Digital Media in Awareness.”
A number of specialized professors delivered lectures during the course. Dr. Hassanain Farman Aboud discussed the psychological impact of media on society, while Asst. Lect. Batool Hussein Moeidi and Asst. Lect. Muntadher Mohammed Jadi presented lectures on the influence of media on cultural awareness. Additionally, Asst. Lect. Ahmed Hassan Araheem explored key developments that have contributed to advancing media messaging.
The course witnessed remarkable participation from faculty members and students, fostering discussions on the role of media in shaping national cultures and its effectiveness in disseminating information swiftly and accurately.
The primary goal of the course was to enhance intellectual and cultural awareness through media while also supporting creativity and innovation. Digital platforms and media outlets provide a space for artists and writers to showcase their work, thereby contributing to the promotion of creative culture in society.
This initiative is part of the ongoing programs of the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Wasit. It aligns with sustainable development projects aimed at serving the community and strengthening Iraq’s educational system.
