In Support of the Sustainable Development Goals… Strategic Studies Centers at the Universities of Karbala and Wasit Discuss Strengthening Research and Knowledge Cooperation
In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—the Strategic Studies Center at the University of Karbala received an official delegation from its counterpart at the University of Wasit, aiming to explore prospects for academic cooperation and promote joint research production between the two institutions.
The delegation from the University of Wasit was headed by Dr. Mohammed Abbas Zanjar, who held discussions with officials at the Karbala center regarding ways to strengthen their partnership in the fields of scientific research and strategic studies. The goal is to foster a comprehensive knowledge environment that supports local and national sustainable development efforts.
The delegation was welcomed by Professor Dr. Nasir Mohammed Ali, Director of the Center, along with a number of department heads and researchers. The meeting highlighted the importance of experience exchange, enhancing researchers’ capacities, and supporting the newly established center in Wasit by drawing on the more advanced experience of the Karbala center.
Both sides emphasized the need to organize joint academic events, training workshops, and research projects that address development issues and contribute to building robust research institutions capable of offering practical, sustainable solutions to societal challenges.
