The Department of Student Activities at Wasit University organized the student festival of poetry, which was hosted by the Faculty of Engineering at Wasit University and with the participation of a number of university colleges, attended the festival by The President of Wasit University Dr. Mazen Al Hasani and dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Ali Nasser and dean of the Faculty of Literature Dr. Fida Al Mawla and director of the department of student activities Dr. Amin Atta in addition to a number of professors and students of participating colleges included the festival to deliver poetry poems that were evaluated to choose the best by the jury and Dr. Mohammed Taqi John, Dr. Raad Mayad and Dr. Raed Mayad and Dr. Dr. Muzaffar Abdul Romeo, Director of the Department of Student Activities, said that this festival aims to choose the best poet or poet to be representatives of Wasit University in external forums in order to raise the name of Wasit University among Iraqi universities and the student of the Faculty of Medicine poet Hajar Naji won the first place and the second place Ahmed Qassim student faculty of engineering and in the third place student Shining Moon of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
