Wasit University discusses Doctoral thesis assessing the impact of oxidative stress for diabetics
Wasit University of Science discussed a PhD thesis for the student, "Alaa Ghani Abu Al-Hawa's prayer entitled Assessing the impact of oxidative stress on type 1 immunosedicine diabetics on levels of autoimmune antibodies (GAD, IIA-2), IGFBP3, ifn γ and genetic expression of IP-10. The study included a detailed explanation of type 1 diabetes, one of the most common chronic autoimmune diseases in children characterized by damage to beta cells in the pancreas, causing high blood sugar and a chronic case of insulin dependence. The study aims to assess the interaction between molecular events with oxidative stress and immune factors, programmed cell death, and cell preservation factors in type 1 diabetes patients.
