Wasit University holds the first university conference for invention and innovation

Wasit University, in collaboration with the International Federation of Inventors Associations (IFIA) and the Iraqi Society of Inventors and Innovators (IIIS), held its first international electronic conference on invention and innovation.

The university's president, Professor Dr. Mazen al-Hasani, said that the participations exceeded 75 inventions and innovations, from various countries of the world, including Germany, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia, as well as Iraqi researchers, distributed on several axes (medicine, engineering and construction, military applications, pharmacy, chemistry and life sciences) and other important scientific axes.

The conference witnessed a wide official and community participation represented by The Minister of Culture Dr. Hassan Nazim, the government representative of the Iraqi parliament, Dr. Torhan al-Mufti, and a representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Bakhth, in addition to Dr. AliReza Rustejar, President of the International Federation of Inventors Associations, and Ms. Teresa Reda, President of the Association of Iraqi Inventors and Innovators.

Dr. Al Hasani said that the conference comes to support outstanding scientific competencies and the owners of inventions and creative innovations and in an effort to develop the scientific process in our dear Iraq and develop the industrial and scientific structures led by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and our belief in the importance of science and scientists as a key pillar in the development of the country and improve its reality holds the university of Wasit its first international scientific conference for invention and innovation.

Al-Hasani added that the aim of the conference is to present inventions and innovations and present them to the owners of industrial application and find sources of funding to move to reality in support of the pioneering orientation of the country in addition to the convergence of ideas and exchange of visions on everything related to innovation and invention between the inventors of Iraq and the inventors of the world and the care of young and newborn energies and support them scientifically and morally to be a model for the bright future.
