Wasit University discusses master's thesis entitled Study of thermal efficiency of multi-stage fumigation air cooling
The letter prepared by the student (Zahra Mohsen Farhan) aims to perform the air conditioning system significantly with high temperatures, which causes a continuous increase in electricity consumption and environmental pollution problems, and evaporative cooling systems are characterized by their low energy consumption as successful alternatives to traditional air conditioning systems, so that the fumigation cooling system is severely affected by weather conditions that lead to deterioration of their performance. The letter included a study of the performance of multi-stage evaporative cooling systems in practice and theoretically in principle, consisting of two phases of air cooling characterized by palpable and reservoir cooling. In tangible cooling, heat is transmitted indirectly using a plated heat exchanger without adding moisture, after direct cooling the air is moisturized using a traditional steaming cooler where the air is cooled part of the cooled and moisturizing air is extracted and returned to be used for indirect cooling. The practical part of two parts is an indirect unit to lower the air temperature and a direct air hydration unit uses a valve to control air flow in the system and the system has been installed and equipped with temperatures, humidity and air speed sensors. air inside, and adipical efficiency. But it decreases as the spacing between the thermal exchanger panels and the relative humidity of the air inside increases, optimal performance was achieved with a very small area between the panels, which were about 5 mm, and the comparison showed a good compatibility between practical and theoretical results. The data incompatibility was within the limits of 4.14 to 6.15.
