Head of the Division: Assistant Professor Dr. Ayat Mahdi Kadhim
1. Introduction
The Citizens Affairs Division is one of the administrative divisions of the Presidency of Wasit University. It is administratively affiliated with the President of the University and technically supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Division is responsible for receiving requests submitted by citizens, students, and university staff, reviewing them, and following up with the relevant departments to ensure prompt processing, fairness, and the delivery of high-quality administrative services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Establishment
The Citizens Affairs Division was established under Administrative Order No. (2631) dated 12 September 2017, with the aim of organizing the procedures for receiving, processing, and following up citizens' requests in order to achieve the highest standards of public service.
3. Nature of Work and Responsibilities
The Division is responsible for the following tasks:
- Receiving requests from citizens, students, and university staff.
- Receiving complaints and suggestions.
- Reviewing requests and referring them to the competent authorities.
- Following up on administrative transactions.
- Preparing periodic reports and statistical data.
- Coordinating with the University's colleges and administrative units to facilitate request processing.
- Documenting and archiving official records and correspondence.

To achieve excellence in providing citizens' affairs services through quality, transparency, and efficiency, thereby strengthening public confidence in Wasit University.

7. Purpose of Establishment
To establish a unified institutional channel for receiving, processing, and following up requests submitted by citizens and students in accordance with legal and administrative regulations, thereby improving institutional performance and strengthening the relationship between the University and the community.
