College of Science at Wasit University and the Higher Institute for Forensic Sciences at Al-Nahrain University Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

In line with the aspiration of the College of Science / Wasit University (the First Party), represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Faiq Jameel Hassan, and the Higher Institute for Forensic Sciences / Al-Nahrain University (the Second Party), represented by Professor Dr. Dhiaa Shamikh Al-Rubaie, to advance the academic standing of both institutions, strengthen academic cooperation, and open new horizons for joint scientific collaboration, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been concluded in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The MoU aims to achieve mutual benefit for researchers and academic staff from both parties through the optimal utilization of available resources in support of scientific research. It also seeks to contribute to the development and modernization of academic curricula, the conduct of joint examinations in two specialized courses beyond the first academic year, cooperation in the field of e-learning, and joint supervision of graduation projects for final-year students.

Furthermore, the Memorandum places particular emphasis on enhancing joint research output and increasing opportunities for publication in reputable academic databases, thereby positively contributing to international university ranking indicators. It also supports the integration of modern educational technologies and sustainable academic practices, ensuring the continuity and quality of the educational process in line with global standards of quality assurance and sustainability in higher education.

This collaboration represents a strategic step toward building effective academic partnerships that enhance institutional performance, promote academic excellence, and strengthen the competitiveness of both universities at the national and international levels.
