The College of Education for Human Sciences at Wasit University conducted a tree-planting campaign across its campus gardens as part of its environmental initiatives aimed at promoting ecological awareness and enhancing the university campus landscape.
The campaign, attended by faculty members, staff, and students, sought to raise environmental consciousness, instill ecological values, and encourage positive engagement with community issues. Creating green spaces not only improves the aesthetic appeal of the campus but also motivates students to adopt environmentally responsible behaviors.
Activities included planting dozens of trees and various plants in the college gardens. This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing extracurricular sustainability programs, designed to support student development and cultivate social responsibility.
Notably, this voluntary initiative was dedicated to the martyrs of Iraq in general and the martyrs of Hyper Al-Kut in particular, honoring their sacrifice.
