Wasit University Leadership Monitors Student Housing Projects and Preparations for the New Academic Year

The President of the University, Prof. Abbas Lafta Al-Aqabi, accompanied by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Sabih Lafta Al-Zubaidi, and the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Mohammed Shihab Ahmed, conducted field visits to follow up on the construction of new sanitary complexes at the Dabel Al-Khuza’i student housing units, as well as inspections of the dormitory facilities for both male and female students, as part of the University’s preparations for the upcoming academic year.

Prof. Al-Aqabi emphasized that these site visits, carried out even during holidays, aim to monitor progress rates and ensure that implementation plans are met. He noted that work is progressing in two shifts, morning and evening, to complete the project within the scheduled timeframe. He also praised the efforts of the working teams, reaffirming the University’s commitment to meeting required standards and overcoming challenges to ensure timely delivery.

The University President stressed that special attention is being given to student housing facilities, considering them a second home for students. The University is working to provide an integrated living and learning environment that supports academic success, including the preparation of gardens and green spaces ahead of the academic year.

These efforts reflect Wasit University's dedication to enhancing student life quality and providing a sustainable educational environment aligned with accreditation requirements and international ranking standards.
