Wasit University Faculty Member Delivers Workshop on Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption in Collaboration with the Police Command

As part of its commitment to community engagement and fostering strategic partnerships with state institutions, Professor Dr. Abd Katie Semoom from the College of Education for Human Sciences at Wasit University delivered a specialized workshop entitled “Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption.” The workshop was organized by the Training and Courses Department at Wasit Police Command, with the participation of control unit officers and civilian staff.

Dr. Ahmed Aidan Dhumad, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, emphasized that this initiative falls within the framework of a joint cooperation agreement between the university and the police command. He noted that the workshop contributes to promoting a culture of integrity, enhancing institutional awareness, and strengthening administrative practices. Moreover, it reflects Wasit University’s ongoing efforts to support the key indicators of global university rankings, particularly those related to community impact, institutional partnerships, and governance transparency, thereby reinforcing the university’s role in sustainable development and societal advancement.
