The College of Medicine at Wasit University welcomed Dr. Rabeel Raheem Al-Sudani, a Swedish specialist in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, during a scientific and observational visit attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Naseer Kadhem Jawad Al-Maliki, Dean of the College, and Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Raheef Al-Aaidi, the Administrative Assistant Dean.
The visit aimed to review the academic and scientific aspects of the college. During the event, Dr. Al-Sudani delivered an informative lecture highlighting the latest research and advanced techniques for controlling blood and body temperature in patients experiencing cardiac arrest and post-resuscitation care, emphasizing their crucial role in improving clinical outcomes in critical cases. He also shared insights from European—particularly Swedish—medical centers.
The meeting further included discussions on modern educational approaches used in Swedish medical schools, such as blended learning and small-group problem-solving methods, which contribute to enhancing curricula and improving students’ clinical and practical skills.
