A Field Visit to Al-Yasmin Center for the Deaf and Mute by the College of Dentistry

Under the patronage of the President of Wasit University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Aqabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Hani Mohsen Khalif, the College of Dentistry, represented by the University Psychological Counseling Unit in cooperation with the Volunteer Work Unit, organized a humanitarian visit to Al-Yasmin Center for the Deaf and Mute in Wasit Governorate.


The visit was conducted as part of the college’s community engagement activities, aiming to strengthen communication with people with special needs and promote social responsibility through learning about the educational and rehabilitation services provided by the center.


The visit included awareness and introductory activities presented by the college delegation, consisting of Assistant Lecturer Ali Jabbar Yassin, Dr. Fatima Salam Abbas, Dr. Alaa Ali Kadhim, Dr. Doaa Jabr Oufi, Mr. Khalaf Sharif, and Mr. Haider Mohammed Abd, Head of the Media and Government Communication Division. Symbolic gifts were also distributed as an expression of support and appreciation for this valued segment of society, in an atmosphere characterized by warmth, interaction, and humanitarian spirit.


At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean expressed his gratitude to the center’s administration for their warm reception, praising their efforts in caring for students with disabilities and emphasizing the College of Dentistry’s commitment to continuing community initiatives that contribute to serving society in both humanitarian and educational fields.
