The Faculty of Science at Wasit University discussed a master's thesis on the evaluation of some physiological biomarkers among women with osteoporosis in Wasit Governorate

The study prepared by the student Suhad Shahid Ali aimed to evaluate the importance of some signs of bone turnover such as alkaline phosphatase joint or steopontin and other indicators such as vitamin D3, calcium and thyroid hormone in evaluating osteoporosis for postmenopausal and premenopausal women in Wasit Governorate and the possibility of using these indicators in diagnosing the disease

The study found a decrease in the level of vitamin D3 and calcium in contrast to an increase in the level of thyroid hormone in the group of patients compared to the control group.
