Under the patronage of the President of the University of Wasit, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Aqabi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Hani Mohsen Khalif, the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, organized by the Technology Incubator Unit at the College of Dentistry, officially commenced.

The opening ceremony featured a distinguished program presented by the college's faculty members and students, including educational and scientific seminars, specialized workshops in the field of dentistry, as well as student-led activities promoting oral health awareness and a variety of other educational events.

The opening also reflected a high level of organization and coordination by the College Deanship, in cooperation with its academic departments, administrative units, and students. Preparatory and organizing committees were formed to oversee the successful implementation of the week-long activities.

These events aim to highlight the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in advancing clinical dental practice and to showcase promising investment opportunities in the field of dentistry. They also address strategies for establishing and developing dental projects and clinics based on modern scientific and economic principles. Furthermore, the activities emphasize the importance of utilizing advanced technologies and state-of-the-art equipment to enhance diagnostic and treatment accuracy while reducing the time required to deliver patient care.

In addition, the program discusses modern solutions to the challenges facing medical investment and explores practical mechanisms to overcome them, contributing to the enhancement of healthcare quality, the achievement of sustainability, and the transition from traditional practices to innovative models based on creativity and smart management.

The opening ceremony also included awareness stations, educational posters, and handmade dental exhibits focusing on reducing smoking and other harmful habits that threaten oral health and overall public health, with the aim of promoting health awareness within the community.
